Get Your Free iPad for Christmas

Everyone is excited for tablet computers this Christmas, and with good reason: these are beautiful examples of technology. With all the tablets to choose among, however, the iPad is the best bet, since it has a better design. It’s not even really a competition. Everyone wants the iPad 2 for Christmas because it’s simply better. It is the highest performing tablet with the most natural interface available, and these are because Apple has always been keen to what customers need and how to innovate those needs. The iPad is not just highly functional but also very fun to use each and every day. The screen is beautiful and at ten inches is enormous for a tablet, yet the device itself seems easily small enough to bring anywhere and hold onto while using. The iPad 2 also boasts a very long battery life and lightning fast operating speeds, which make it work seamlessly with its high-functioning accessories. It is surely one of the must-have devices this Christmas.

The place where the iPad really shines the most is its display. This is due to Apple’s commitment to testing its products thoroughly and investing in areas where innovation can be achieved. Since the 70s, Apple has poured over four billion dollars into research for display tech. That’s a huge commitment that has paid off over time, and it has never been more apparent than with the iPad 2. No matter what you are doing with your iPad 2, be it watching movies, playing games, or checking your email, your eyes will be stunned by the brilliance that the screen offers. Obviously the display is the main way of interacting with the tablet, and this LED display makes this interaction a pleasure.

The battery in the iPad 2 is another huge advancement for Apple. It can last up to ten hours, which is way ahead of the competition and a testimony to Apple’s dedication to quality. This allows you to run many applications at once with the powerful CPU and interface capable of multitasking, without worrying about needing to plug in again. If you are traveling, you’ll also be happy to hear about the excellent battery life since it means you can be on the road/plane for hours and not worrying about trying to find a way to recharge. The battery will last long enough for you to watch a feature length movie without having to plug it in! It’s not just the battery that’s smart about power-saving though, it’s the operating system and settings too. You can disable functions that use power, such as Wi-Fi, lower the screen brightness, lower the volume, and disallow applications from receiving push notifications to save power.

Now back to the multitasking we mentioned before–it’s great! The iOS proves to be very versatile, allowing a user to, say, pause a game to recieve a Skype call, then pick up the game right where it was left off when the call is done. This all comes from the powerful dual core A5 CPU that Apple wisely chose to pack into their tablet, along with an advance graphics processor chip. There is simply no other tablet with this level of functionality on the market right now. This proves again how Apple is a digital trend-setter, innovating any area it chooses to develop in.

The iPad 2 now even boasts 2 cameras, and the front-facing 640 x 480 VGA one integrates seamlessly with Apple’s own FaceTime app, allowing two iPad owners to video chat in real-time.

This holiday season you will no doubt be tempted by this beautifully designed tablet. Even though it’s actually quite cheap considering what you are getting out of it, you may be loathe to dish out that money right now, when there is so much else to buy for the holidays. Well, fear not, for it is now a reality that you can get your iPad 2 for free. With as many iPads being produced as there have, it’s not really any surprise that a legitimate way to get a free one has finally come about.

iPad vs. iPod Touch

Even before we saw the first images of the iPad a couple years ago, people have compared it directly to the iPod Touch. Even the president of Nintendo, Iwata, was notorious in stating that “there were no surprises” since it’s “just a bigger iPod Touch.”

Are these accusations accurate?

Whether or not they are true, remember that you will be getting your iPad for free, so its irrelevant.

From our point of view at myfreeipad.us.com, the  iPad actually is in a completely different league then the iPod Touch.

The larger screen is the most obvious difference, but it is more than just more “real estate.” The 10-inch screen is enough for a full-sized keyboard, which immediately make this iPad more useful than the iPod Touch for large projects.

The battery isn’t a disappointment for these lengthy projects. The iPod Touch advertises “30 hours of continuous music play back before a recharge,” but most people say that they get significantly less, even with all settings disabled and volume turned down. The iPad’s battery boasts 120 hours of playback (4 times the Touch!), and it’s claims are much less exagerated.

Web browsing is much easier on the iPad, and this is enabled with it highly-optimized browser, large on-screen keyboard, and dual-core 1 GHz processor.

The size also make the iPad a completely different kind of device with regards to eBooks. The iPod Touch’s screen simply doesn’t have enough room to effectively display all the information on a page of a magazine, newspaper, or even book.

Any thoughts?
